Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts Tells TwoTen Magazine Why He Sold Everything to Use His Musical Gift

National Christian business publication strives to inspire its readers with powerful stories that change lives.

Tampa, Florida – April 3, 2014 – Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts quit his job of ten years, sold everything and drove his truck to Nashville, believing God would use the talent he had been given.  LeVox’s story appears in the 2nd Quarter issue of TwoTen Magazine, which highlights diverse business leaders who found very different ways to live out the Gospel through their organizations while making the most of their unique passions and gifts.

Long before LeVox became the lead vocalist of Rascal Flatts, he felt another life tugging on his conscience.  At the time, he was employed at the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation.

“When I started thinking about moving to Nashville, I truly felt the presence of God standing in that kitchen right next to me,” said LeVox.  He prayed, “I think you have given me a certain gift, and I’m just so sorry for not using it.”  He quit his job and moved to Nashville.  The rest is history, as Rascal Flatts became the best-selling country vocal group of the past decade.

Faith has given Gary LeVox personal confidence to face challenges that have arisen for the band in the world of professional entertainment.  LeVox said, “There is never a time that I am ashamed or embarrassed to say that whatever stress and worry we might be going through as a band, God is still in control. He is not going to set us up for failure.”

This quarter’s issue of TwoTen Magazine includes exclusive interviews with other successful business leaders—the owner of a nationally acclaimed racetrack, a crane company involved in international missions, and manufacturer of mowing equipment that fosters a company culture of opportunity for all.  Each business leader talks about applying their influence to make an eternal impact.

Previous issues of the magazine offered exclusive interviews with Shannon Bream, Fox News Correspondent; Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy; ESPN college football analyst Tim Tebow; Pediatric Neurosurgeon and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Dr. Ben Carson; Christian businessman and TV personality Willie Robertson of Duck Commander; and America’s beloved pastor, Christian evangelist Billy Graham.

TwoTen Magazine Issue 7 was released in April in print and digital platforms.
