Leadership Ministry Action Plan- Investing In Others

You probably are familiar with or even participated in the strategic planning process for your company.  A strategic plan is like a blueprint for your team or company over a period of time.  The process gives everyone a baseline to work from to reach certain goals.

Also, you may have put together a personal development plan (PDP) in which you set goals for yourself to improve in areas of leadership and personal growth. A PDP is focused only on you.

Here is an opportunity to use the ideas and principles around these plans in a new way.  It is called a Leadership Ministry Action Plan.  This plan gives you a map of how you can make a difference in the lives of your co-workers, friends and family.

This plan is very simple.  Just write down the names of your co-workers, friends and family.  Next, write down one or two “Ministry Action” points.  These are ways in which you want to encourage or minister to these individuals.  The next action item is “Leadership Action”.  What are one or two ways you can help these individuals grow in their leadership capacity or personal development?  The final point is “Follow-up.”  Set a time in which you want to follow-up with each person.  This could be weekly, monthly, or some other time frame.
